![]() It connected to my NAS without issues and listed all my files.Īs for Apple blocking this at some point. I'm quite happy with it right now and my Netflix works fine and the benefits of being able to play 1080p MKV/AVIs is huge to me.Ĭan't believe I didn't come across this before. I totally agree with this dev philosophy: core AppleTV features remain and they just add more to it without drastically changing the UI etc.Īnyone have it installed? Does it work well? Does it break anything? Has anyone tried this with their Apple TV? #Atv flash black 1080p ![]() It simplifies the process - once you have jailbroken with Season Pass, atvflash eliminates the terminal - media player works with file sharing to run movies on my internal hd which is nice-web browser which really needs a remote on your iphone/ipod. NitoTV is an optional install - allows you to do advanced stuff. I'm disappointed by xbmc and plex - xbmc offers less video programming than the mac version and I can't figure out how to open Plex because I'm having trouble figuring out the network stuff which you must do manually for these two programs - this may be a problem for anyone working with these programs in ATV2 - Atvflash seems to be a nice program that is being improved - before them the hacking process was a tedious ssh business - we shall see what happens with future iterations of Greenpoison which is free and what Apple does with iOS5 - I'm still trying to figure out what is the right smb// to get xbmc to work. Plex won't open till you info on the server - Perhaps Atv will simplify in future versions - I assume you can use NitoTV to install xbmc and plex - I don't know what kind of results you will get. ![]() NitoTV has some other stuff like Cydia - I like the face that it lets you put a calendar and the weather in the core AppleTV menu.
